#EachForEqual has arrived as part of International Women’s Day 2020. International Women’s Day provides an important moment to showcase commitment to women’s equality, launch new initiatives and action, celebrate women’s achievements, raise awareness, highlight gender parity gains and more. The day is celebrated and supported globally by industry, governments, educational institutions, community groups, professional associations, women’s networks, charities and non-profit bodies, the media and more.
This year’s theme is #EachForEqual and aims to influence every person to make a difference to help build a more gender equal world. In the technology industry, the workplace is so often dominated by men. At Pure Cloud, we are taking small steps to change this and support #EachForEqual.
Over the last 4 years, we have almost tripled female representation in the company, increasing our female staff rates from 3 to 8 members of staff. Two of these women have recently been internally promoted to senior management roles, in a team that has historically been male orientated.
We are striving to make Pure Cloud Solutions a workplace that embodies #EachForEqual – where all employees, regardless of gender, have visible and tangible access to equal opportunities.
Jamie Lake, Commercial Director at Pure Cloud Solutions said, “At PCS, gender doesn’t even come into the equation. From our perspective if you are good enough to fulfil the role then we will employ you to do it. We have made two recent internal promotions and both have been awarded to female staff members as they were the right people for the role.”
“On a separate note it is fantastic to see more and more diversity within the technology industry as historically it has been a male dominated industry. #EachForEqual is a strong movement & I’m happy to be part of it.”
In recognition of International Women’s Day 2020, we chatted to some of the women employed at PCS to find out what their #EachForEqual greatest achievements are. Everyone at Pure Cloud will continue to drive equality in the workplace as part of our pledge for #EachForEqual – what will you do?
